Two Feet & Five Fingers

You've seen them.  Probably took a double take.  You wonder how they feel.  They're kinda cool and you want a pair.  Your friends and family will think that you are the cat's meow if you show up prancing around in these. NO! Vibram's Five Fingers are not for fashion, the are for function.  After reading several positive reviews from people with plantar fasciitis, I decided to give them a try myself.

There are supposed to be several benefits from wearing these and you can visit Vibram's website to learn more.  I'm going to tell you about my experiences with them.  First, you can't find these everywhere, but they are somewhere.  I advise you to try them on rather than guessing your size.  I was fitted for a 38, but had to get a 40 because my big toe on one foot kept hitting the edge.  Yet, in the 40 there is a lot of space in the heel.  (Which brings me to the fact that my left of right Achilles heel was irritated by the fabric.  Putting a cotton round in the shoe kept it from rubbing.  Then eventually, it stopped. I'm not sure if that was before or after I washed them.) I also have a lot of room in the toe space, except the big toes.  Getting the shoe on was a bit of a task since the pinky toe does not want to go into its little slot.  Once all the toes are lined up in their sleeves all is good, get to walking.
My first steps in these were at the store.  The clerk was very knowledgeable and gave me lots of advice much of which I'm stating here.  I could feel the hardness of the floor and I didn't like it.  What I liked was my feet didn't feel cramped, they felt free to move and flex.  My toes were gripping and feet were rolling heel to toe.  I wore them for a few hours as instructed (treat them like training shoes) and I was starting to dig them.

As the weather got colder, I put my little shoes away.  I also got a cortisone shot and my foot felt better. After having the flu, I stopped going to the gym.  When I started back, I wore my Brooks.  I noticed during the workouts my right foot would start cramping and my toes would go numb.  Later, I would have those walking on nails pains, but not as bad as before.  My foot needed flexibility: it needed Five Fingers.  With the Vibrams I was able to workout longer on the Arc.  The cramping and toe numbness did not occur and the next morning pain ceased.

Would I wear these to work or all day?  I have worn them to work and the answer is NO!.  Concrete and tile are too hard for eight hours in these shoes for me.  I do wear other minimalist shoes to work, but they have more cushion and protection than these.  I wouldn't wear these all day either.  I can feel rocks and the such which is not comfortable in this style.  There are styles made for running and the such and I have not tried those.  Would I buy these online?  I would buy this particular style online, but would get fitted for other styles and then buy online.  Being that I'm not wearing socks with these and yes they have socks for them, they do get funky.  I've washed mine twice in a front loader and allowed them to air dry and they still hold up.

Would I buy another pair?  Yeah!  I think I'll go for the Entrada or Alitza.  Plus, I feel like Kitty SoftPaws in these!

Sweating My Hair Out

I felt so empowered in my first animal print.
Hello! I have been asked to blog again. What do I have to talk about?  Plenty. I am on a weight loss journey, healthy life style living, whatever you call it all sums up to I'm tired of being fat and I'm tired of hurting.  My health across the board is lovely, but the fat is wearing my feet and joints down.  I'm tired of looking like lumpy butter in a dress, limping lumpy butter at that.

I have plantar fasciitis in my right foot along with heel spurs.  It hurts, like walking on a board with nails in it each step.  I know how that feels because I’ve stepped on a nail before. That hurts!  That first step is enough to make me cry.  Strolling through the mall, NO!  Walking to the back of Wal-Marks, NO!  Walking at a normal pace, NO!  Unfortunately, my mother has it too and she's shared her experiences with me.  All the exercises, stretching, boots, rolling with ice are just temporary, even the cortisone shot didn't completely relieve me.

The shot did make it bearable for me to get my fat ass up and get to moving.  I took my health for granted and I can't anymore. Since going to the gym there have been days when I want to cut my foot off.  My toes go numb in that foot.  I have to slow it down and modify exercises.  People say walk, I can't, seriously.  I don't let those things discourage me.  I found a few things I'm good at, such as the Arc (elliptical, stepper type machine). I beast that thing out!

From time to time I will take a class.  I hated kick boxing with a passion.  I just stood there are one point and I haven't been back since.  Water aerobics is great, but if you've been following me you know about my hairy legs.  Once I get all the hair removed, I'll go back. I did not like aqua Zumba.  Zumba is ok, but it would be great if I knew the steps.  I can always booty pop and twerk until I learn the other moves.  Spinning is nice.  The majority of the time is spent sitting down which is great on my foot and I know the moves. Stand up, sit down!

Then once I'm done with that there's the strength training.  Once this fat melts away, my cut arms and abs are going to look so beautiful.

So far I've lost 22 pounds.

That ain't water! That's Zumba!

I Can't Lose Weight

I've been working at this since May and I feel like I'm getting nowhere.  The gym isn't getting better.  My foot hurts, but not as bad.  Or maybe I've become acclimated to the pain.  My belly doesn't seem to be getting any smaller.  Only my wrists, but, but wait, just one wrist seems to be getting smaller.  I say that in sarcasm because I wear just one bracelet.  Did the links stretch and this is all a joke?  I'm drinking 64oz of water.  Clean eating, moderation, protein, more fruit, more veggies, no French Fries, no this, no that and I feel like it's all in insert a cuss-word vain.

It really makes me wonder if I'm just supposed to be fat.  I've been praying and nearly to tears about this. Gastric bypass has even crossed my mind.  But I don't know with Jesse Jackson Jr. having depression and bi-polarism.  I'm already angry and frustrated.  That's probably what happened.  Couldn't lose weight, had surgery, somebody said that trigger word.  You never know.  It's serious people.

Maybe I should go back on the Devil aka metformin.  That will surely get my bowels moving like a ninja in the dark, but leaving me feeling like I have a serious stomach virus.  I'd rather be fat than to use that stuff again.  Yet, out of desperation I thought about it.

I've mentally cussed out everything.  I had to nicely tell my workout partner for chanting 'Get It Girl' while I'm in the zone. I really wanted to blurt out a string off ill things, but I didn't.  I apologized to her for being mean and why I didn't like the high pitched cheer leading.  I prayed to God, Allah, Jesus, Mother Mary, Buddha, and my blue light within to make a blankety-blank cramp in my ab to go away while working out.  I'm sure God side-eyed me when I cussed because just as it was going away, the cramp came back.  I prayed for forgiveness.  Yes, my attitude is deplorable. Now if you got offended, cast the first stone.

The mirror at the gym, let me tell you about that liar.  My shape is flicted, but not as messed up as that.  A little weight loss and toning and I'll be fine.  It's like I'm at a carnival and come up to the fun house of mirrors.  My belly is not that big.  Mirror, mirror on the wall, I'll take seven bad years for you.  Just like your lying cousin the scale.

Ciara, for those of you just joining in, my dog, has gotten yelled at for getting in my way when I'm trying to walk anywhere in the house.  She sleeps between the bed and wall all sprawled out so when I get up I have to step over her. That's a feat with legs feeling like concrete and my foot feeling like I'm stepping on 2X4s with nails in them.  Poor puppydawgkittyboogirl was crated one night after the gym so I could take a nap before work.  She was barking entirely too much.

A cortisone shot would be the ticket.  I'm really thinking about that.  In my mind I've already thought out the whole pain channeling.  I would need a nurse possibly to talk to during the procedure.  I like doctors and nurses that coo me to a happy place when pain is involved.  Yes, talk to me in a soothing voice and tell me I'm doing great.

Conclusion, I'll keep on exercising and eating clean.  I didn't gain ten pounds in a month.

Thirsty ~ Drinking More Water

I've been on a healthier eating and living journey since my birthday this year.  It's really a challenge.  Seriously.  I have a friend who has lost 60 pounds in 5 months.  Well, I haven't.  I haven't gone as hard with this as she has.  While we were at the gym one day, she says that I should do some weights.  I told her I will when I feel like it.  She insists right then and that I wouldn't do it and come up with excuses.

Everyone is different. I'm doing the best I can, for me, right now.  I'm at the gym and  trying.    If we were the same, then everyone would be skinny or fat.  When I say I can't, dammit, I can't.  No, it's not because I do not want to do it.  It's because I cannot do it.  There may be a physical, emotional, or mental reason why, but when I can do it, I will.  Pressuring me makes me shut down. I'm a very strong willed person. I have my own goals, don't set them for me.

Meanwhile, I've been drinking more water.  I'm up to 1.5 liters or roughly 50oz daily.  The of water one should drink is 64 oz a day.  The goal of drinking half ones weight in ounces has been suggested by experts for weight loss.  I'm not adding any flavoring to the water because the sugar substitutes in those is the worst tasting thing ever.  Once the water gets just the slightest bit warm, it tastes like poison.

If you are on pinterest.com then you've probably seen this picture.  I thought this was so cool.  The photo originated from this tumbler so I'm giving them credit.

Until next time drink more water!

Time Out

I went to Raleigh past weekend and left the earrings. I think my forgetfulness boils down to I really don't like selling in person. I think I've talked about this before. I don't have a sells pitch other than showing somebody how to put it on. It's not like a $1000 vacuum cleaner with all sorts of attachments and filters. I was very disappointed myself.

I did get a book Wild Seed by Octavia Butler. I read the first 177 pages after I got home. The next night I completed the book. I found the writing style pretty much like everyone else but the story line was a bit freaky being that the protagonist could change shape, never died, healed people, and could sleep with all the men she could want.

My shop was closed for two days. It was nice not to wonder if I had an order. It's nice to know that the blue flashing star on my phone is nothing urgent. Then I opened it back up in the wee hours of Monday morning while most were sleeping. Within a few hours, a Half Baked Set and another item were sold.

I stopped playing all the games on Facebook. I was becoming a Fashion Wars, Sorority Life, Vampire Wars bully. I have been put on the hit list in FW so many times and I had only reached level 15 I think. I was beginning to get a little too involved. I was checking up on my posse and clan to see if they were up to par with what I had. When they had less, I was agitated because you are only as good as the members on your team. As you see, I had to quit.

Tuesday, I didn't even get on the computer. I played Sudoku all night at work instead of hopping around from ning.com groups to blogs.

And then I realized I hadn't posted to my own blog in a while. I will take some pictures of my hair. My locks turned a year old at the end of February.

My Hair & My Teeth

My hair is thin. In this photo my scalp is visible.
In this photo my hair looks super full.

My locks will be a year old at the end of February. I haven't taken pictures in a while. I plaited my hair and shampooed using Sisterlock starter shampoo. Once my hair was nearly dry, I smoothed a little Jamaican Mango & Lime Leave-in Moisturizer on the ends. I used this product when my hair was loose to make the spirals less frizzy. It still works like charm.

Today is the day that my wisdom teeth come out. I'm writing this as I wait for my chauffeur to come.

Stop by www.tomokastwists.com and tell me what you think. Be kind I did it myself, lol.

Update: I'm back from the procedure. My gums are a little sore, but nothing that bad.

My Teeth - The Count Down to 28

My wisdom teeth are going to be extracted this Friday, Friday, Friday. The top right one cracked during the gobbling of an ice cream taco. I planned on keeping my wisdom teeth forever. I felt that if I didn't need them, then they would not be there. Since one is having complications, they all are coming out.

The oral surgeon made the procedure sound very peaceful and promised many pain killers. Some of which people experienced epic hallucinations in a zombie like state.

I'm not looking forward to it. I am glad that the time is nearing so I can get on with eating ice cream tacos and fried ice cream at the Mexican restaurant.

My Teeth are Falling Out

I had just finished my Mexican dinner and dessert and noticed that something was a little too hard to be part of fried icecream. My top right molar felt a little sharp. It's broken. Woah is me because I know I'll have to get my wisdom teeth pulled. Please share your wisdom teeth extraction experience.
This post will be a multi-task post. I'm waiting on the last load of laundry to dry so that I can promptly take the clothes out to prevent wrinkles.
Blah, blah - tooth. I'm done with that now. The last post was about my hair troubles. I re-tightened, re-installed, and fixed the crazy locks. The picture above is the before the repairs, the after looks just the same.
Ciara has been following me like a shadow. I believe it has a lot to do with her being crated a long time this week. Also, I've been trying to train her which includes being put in the bathroom when she paws at the shutters and barks. I guess she figures if she's right at my heels that she can't get into trouble. I stepped on her hands twice while carrying clothes. The other day she made me fall while I had company. The expression on her face read, "WTH, don't fall on me." I'm tempted to let her go back to barking up a storm, just to keep from injuring ourselves. Some days I really want to pawn her off on my parents. People always tell me that I'd be all to pieces if something was to happen to her. One day I got off of work early and she didn't come walking slowly down the steps. I freaked. I was hesitant to call her name. I thought the worse. Then, I figured she got closed into one of the rooms like a time before. I finally called her name and like a good dog, she slowly walked down the steps, stretched and yawned, and then greeted me at the door.

My Health

If you don't remember, I have PCOS and anemia. With the combination of the two, my period would come on when it felt like it. Since December my period started coming more frequently, about 45 days. Then since March my period has been coming on about every 30 days. How grand is that. How did I get it to regulate itself? I don't know. HAHAHA. I prayed about it and stopped taking a gang of pills. I hate Metformin. Each month is a gamble though. I calculate when it's supposed to come on. Sometimes I can feel it sometimes I don't. It's usually comes overnight. When I wake up and I'm on my period, I can hear the Wayan's Brothers singing, "Gimme a high five." The first two days, I'm excited and checking up on it. The last three days, I'm beside myself in disbelief that women have to work. I'm tired as hell, I'm already anemic and my comprehension level is shot. And I start talking about getting a powered mobility chair.

I had a physical during my last period. You know you have to fast for those. Here it is 2pm. I feel and look like a zombie. I was not giving blood for the life of me. First off, you can see every vein in my arm, use the butterfly needle, and don't dig all around my arm. So after about 10 minutes I was bled for two vails. I'm looking at the my blood knowing I'm going to dead soon. Then blood pressure time. I sat through two squeezings and the machine couldn't register my pressure. Why? And I don't know if it's just me, but that hurts. I had to look over at the thing. "When is you gonna stop that? Get off me." The nurse did it manually and it was 90/60. Then I had to go to work. I fatasized about me in a HoveRound at the Grand Canyon.

You know I YouTubed it and here it is the best use of a HoveRound.

Sick Yet Lovely

I have strep throat and an UTI. I got a penicillin shot in the rump and a doctor's note. I'm contageous for 24 hours. So I went and had my car inspected, oil change, and my eyebrows done. Sorry people. I didn't want to waste a day off.

I bought this set about a month ago because I didn't have a matching set of costume jewelry. I've always worn gold. You can't go wrong with gold. I love candy colors. So, how cute is this set? And how many times have I worn the entire set? Today for these picutes. I've worn the earrings and bracelet together twice.
My throat hurts like crazy mad. My neck is so swollen that it looks like I have a double chin.

Blah

Something horrible happened last night. I saw Ben again and I think he touched my right big toe. He was so small and had a stubbed tail. Ben is a mouse that lives in my upstairs bedroom closet. This is the second siting since Mother's Day. I have traps out but he won't get on them.

Something even worse than a mouse happened last night. But as Prince says, "Would you run to me if somebody hurt you even if that somebody was me." I really don't like talking my business when it involves another person. You always need to hear both sides of the story. And then you need an unbiased witness as well.

Dad, my superman, said to get myself together. Not my house, not my dog, not my job - but me. My health and weight and skin. This mouse in my house has caused me much grief. It started as, I can't even take care of house on my own. My backyard is still not finished. I don't have the energy cause I'm tired. That went from tired to I'm just fat and can't move. To I'm tired because of my job has me running around like a chicken with her head cut off all day. From there it went to my unfinished book and how lazy I have gotten with it because of one person's opinion of it. I then thought that if I had a man - there is Route 66 - a husband then we could fix the yard together. That went into I'll never have a man. And if I do get one then I'll never have children with this mystery ovulation. But I'm independent and can do all things if the money is right. Which I have been spending on tires/car, laser hair treatment, taxes, dog, furniture, and all the other mess I don't even care about anymore. And the two false alarms that are $50 each. My car is filthy and I've been meaning to take it to the man up the street on Saturdays, but I work most Saturdays. Then I got mad because while I'm going through every emotion, I have a dog and mouse living it up care free in my house. They are probably licking their fur or sleeping while I'm spilling my heart out in a blog.

Good old Dad said I need to slow it down and just let nature take it's course. The yard will get done when it's time. My back will clear up when it's time. And Ben will be trapped when it's time. He said I need to stop rushing things and relax.

Please don't even comment. I need no pity or advice. Just touch the screen and wish me well.

Parents

For Mother's Day, I took us out to dinner. At the table Mom pulled out a pill box and started rationing out the pills that Dad prepared. During this conversation I learned that pills make your stomach hurt if you don't take them with food. I knew this was true for my pills, but it seems true for a lot of pills: they had a lot. Anywho, pills can also serve as laxatives if taken a few hours before or after eating. Like I said I knew that was true with my pills. They take herbal pills and vitamins - no prescription pills. I must take more pictures of them.

I Still Don't Feel Good

Yeah. I haven't been feeling good for a minute. I'm tired, feel nauseous, and don't feel like eating, and hot. I've never been hot. One day I went out and bought a bunch of junk - Pizza Gold Fish Crackers and Chocolate Chip Famous Amos Cookies - and I haven't even eatten them. I wanted some Krispy Kreme donuts - I hate them. I wanted to chew them and then spit them out. I can't eat them because they give me indigestion and I'll taste greasy donut gone wrong for two days. Even Ciara has been tired. But that's because she's being a real dog and staying outside while I'm at work.

Blood Pressure 100/50

That's what my sister's blood pressure was by the time she got to the hospital after her co-workers called the ambulance since she fainted out at a clinet's house. If you haven't read previous posts, my sister has Grave's Disease which is hyperthyroidism. They treat it with radioactive iodine and/or surgery to remove the thyroid. She has a goiter now. So we are now trying to figure out how to get more iodine - which she happens to be alergic to (Ma said she was when she was a kid) - without eating a container of Morton salt and/or killing herself. I wasn't going to say this but this whole Grave's Disease didn't occur until she stopped smoking the you know. She's doing fine now and back to having road rage and checking to see if anyone is looking while she litters. She said she's trying to stop littering. One day at a time....

You and Me Must Never Part

I love my sister and I'm going to tell her when she wakes up. She has Graves' Disease which is a hyperthyroid condition. It causes you to lose weight, hormonal problems, and bulging eyes. I offered her an iron pill. Wow, I remember my relatives swapping out pills. "Yeah lemme get a fluid pill for a pain killer." Shameful. Oh, this iron pill is my personalized crack. At first I thought this little baby was expensive - $1 per pill - on insurance. But now, I can't wait to take it. Is that a sign of addiction? If I have to ask, then I already know right? It has iron, folic acid, and B-12. Talk about pumped up.

Beloved Sister Girl suggested getting a camera from the pawn shops. Don't you know that all three we went to were closed. They close at 6pm. What's up with that. Don't they know that most people don't get off until 5pm. Geeze. I don't know about this pawn shop thing.

Route 66 - I like me some him. That's all I'm saying on that.

Anemia and Sickle Cell Trait

I have both. BOO and HISS. Okay, I have to eat healthy in order to live without medicines. The iron pill, multi-vitamin, and 2 metformins will be a total of 4 pills a day. This explains my life of being cold and tired all the time.

My Doctor's Visit - Metformin, PCOS, Anemia - Oh My!

She's a black woman first off and she knows my black GYN too. Now my black GYN wears itty bitty twists I think on relaxed hair. My new doctor is 5 months pregnant, heavy, cute, and she gave me a hug. She was very interested in my locks. She said she had to take a second look at them when I was getting my pressure taken. She touched them too. And the cashier at the grocery store asked about them too. The my phle- blood taker was black too.

All in all I look healthy. I'm down 8lbs from the last time I was weighed. And I had my steal toes shoes on, they are good 3-4 lbs. That's a good thing.

My thyroid feels normal. But my neck is a little large - for the love of everything good - I'm fat. I had five tubes of blood pulled. They are going to check for anemia, sickel cell trait, and thyroid stuff.

Now, here comes the devil. Metformin, I hate it. It works wonders for people with PCOS - me. But it give you nausea and diarrhea to no end. I used to take 3 pills a day. I quit taking it. Yes I was loosing weight and my period came on again - but I couldn't stomach it. Now I will do 2 pills a day. I will take 1 for 4 nights in a row and then one twice a day.

Bigger than Hair

Ok, out goes the SL blog and incomes the personal stuff. My friend - no, no nicknames - my menstrual cycle stopped. I wasn't that concerned until I met Route 66 and started having warm, fuzzy feelings for him which included me as a loving wife and MOTHER. In order to be a mother one must ovulate.

Two things and the first one is Polycystic Ovary Syndrome. You have a whole bunch of body hair - which I'm doing laser hair surgery. Most ladies are overweight. See previous posts concerning my weight loss attempts. And another symptom is lack of menstruation or amenorrhea. I have this. BOO HISS. I was put on the pill and all was fine. Fast forward to right before Route 66 enters. I stopped taking the birth control pills in June. My last cycle was in August. Fine with me, I'm not doing anything. Now that I have a new friend and 30 is right around the corner, I feel myself getting a tad bit freaked out. I'm not crying or depressed about it, but I am concerned enough to take action because something is wrong here.

Second thing low iron, I'm a carrier of the sickle cell trait, and I actually have some funny shaped red blood cells. Red blood cells need iron to make hemoglobin to carry oxygen. That's why I get cranky at work - I'm tired. Sometimes anemic folks stop having periods in order to maintain what little iron is in the blood.

With this said - I have to eat to live. I was taking my multi-vitamin sometimes, but now I'm on it everyday. And research shows that if I lose 10% of my weight, maybe, just maybe my period will come back on. I have to get Ciara out and hit the pavement too.

New Me for My New Hair

Yesterday was the first day of the beginning of my new health adventure. It included making a grocery list with my co-worker who just happens to be an aerobics trainer and is studying to become and a yoga instructor. This list included a variety of lower my weight food. I felt good buying healthier food until it came out to $90. I saved $15 using my VIP card. I’ve heard before healthier food costs more, but this was crazy. Anyways, smaller size clothes cost less than plus size clothes.

I even walked with Ciara yesterday. Today, I packed my lunch of nuts, yogurt, soup, pear, fruit cups, water, and of course several packs of my beloved Crystal Light. This stuff has been around for years and it took a little bitty to-go packet to win me over. So far so good, wish me luck

Gym or Buy a Treadmill

It dawned on me the other day while shaving my legs, something I don't do that often, that I'm really fat. If there was less of me I could get this done quicker. Now, that kind of statement would prompt somebody, usually a person of thinner frame or a man to say, "No, you're just fine. You look good. Don't think like that." This is what I hear, "Eat everything, sit down, don't walk the dog, lay around and be lazy. Eat while laying around. Eat all that you can. It's so tasty and good. Lane Bryant goes up to 24/26 you've only reached 18. You have more room to grow and grow and grow...."

My guy friend, Route 66, pinched my lower right loved handle. STOP. Imagine laying there cuddling watching the movie. He's holding me and I'm loving it up. Ciara's quiet on the floor. I couldn't be happier. I'm thinking about spending the rest of my life with him. We're going to be so happy. Then he had what seemed like a few fingers on my back, then I felt pressure squeezing the fat and then a slight jiggle. So he pinched and jiggled my love handle. And then gave me a tight hug. I wanted to scream, "What are you doing? Why are you touching something that you are not supposed to see?" I wanted to tell him to get out and never come back. He acknowledge my love handle. Mind you that Route 66 is Snoop Dogg frail and well 6'6". I'm 5'4" and over 200lbs and have started squeezing into size 18.

I've never been this fat. I've never been skinny thanks to my daddy. Mama used to make us eat Shreaded Wheat or something else nasty in the morning with some fruit - one bowl. We did this for some time until Daddy started stopping by Biscuitville. I would get a sausage biscuit and orange juice. By the end of the school year, I was the fattest kid in the whole class.

Last summer I started walking hyper Ciara. At first I couldn't walk around the neighborhood because my legs would burn and my spine felt like it was going to fall out of my tailbone. That's when I was introduced to BC powder by a co-worker. "Yeah, I take them a hour before I work out." I still could feel the burning so I kept singing in my head Milly Jackson's "No pain, no gain." I'd look down at Ciara and she's just living it up. "Ha, ha I'm outside. Look at the grass. Wow, somebody's been to the fire hydrant, somebody's been here Carmen. Omg, is that a bunny. It's a bunny...." When we got home Ciara would leave me alone, she was tired. I had to walk her more and everyday. Next thing I know I was doing just that and then the cold came. Gottomighty, the wind felt like needles on my face. I couldn't walk anymore like that. "Look old grandpa, why are you out here at some 6am jogging with your reflectors on. I said it's cold out here and we can't walk anymore. I just can't do it."

My rings are getting tight again. I want an elliptical machine in my house - not at the gym. I keep saying that I need to get a treadmill for me and Ciara to use. I know I'd get bored with the treadmill. I know if I get an elliptical I'll use it because I can stay on there for a long time. If I go to the gym I'll be turned off by the already sexy and fit people. Where are the fat people in the gym? Do they go in the wee hours of the night? Or do we just sit and blog about loosing weight?

I just got back from getting some Chinese food and there's a little gym in the shopping center. Nautillus or something. They had elliptical machines, rows of them and I could see only one person working out. A huge vinyl sign read $5 daily workouts. Interesting.
