Sick Yet Lovely

I have strep throat and an UTI. I got a penicillin shot in the rump and a doctor's note. I'm contageous for 24 hours. So I went and had my car inspected, oil change, and my eyebrows done. Sorry people. I didn't want to waste a day off.

I bought this set about a month ago because I didn't have a matching set of costume jewelry. I've always worn gold. You can't go wrong with gold. I love candy colors. So, how cute is this set? And how many times have I worn the entire set? Today for these picutes. I've worn the earrings and bracelet together twice.
My throat hurts like crazy mad. My neck is so swollen that it looks like I have a double chin.

I was with my parents when I got this set and my mom egged me on to buy it. I was thinking the colors were a bit too much, but they make me feel playful. Plus the beads are all different shapes and I enjoy rubbing them. Maybe they have magical powers.

Meikmeika, thank you for your well wishes. The shot hasn't taken effect on my throat yet. I hope she gave me enough. It's been 11 hours. I need instant results. HAHAHA!

You said: And who remade Dionne Warrick's "Always Something There to Remind Me"? I loved that 80s cover.

Yeah Carmen, I remember that song. . . classic synthesized 80's music! lol I googled it and the name of the group was Naked Eyes.

Your beaded jewelry set is very cheery and Summery (I guess it helps to lift your spirits when you're feeling under the weather, huh). It would would be a nice compliment to a plain black sundress.Hey, you just gave me an idea! I'm going to try making a beaded necklace. That should be a fun project on a day when I'm bored senseless.

You're my girl Zaharah. I watched the Police "Magic" video. And yes, all black for that set. Anything else would be a disaster for the eyes. I'm off to find Naked Eyes on youtube.com

Carmen, sorry to hear about your sickness. It really sucks being sick during the summer. Well, I can't offer any advice for the strep throat, but I CAN for the UTI. Whenever you detect a UTI coming on, go to your nearest grocery store and get some 100% CRANBERRY JUICE! Not the cocktail because it usually only contains 18-27% juice. The
cocktail does help, but the 100% works better and is more potent. Drink that and water. NOTHING ELSE until a day or so after you feel better. Ever since I discovered this natural cure I have YET to be to the doctor for a UTI. Years ago, I had a appointment to see the doctor for a BAD UTI, but discovered cranberry juice before going. By the time I got there, my UTI was COMPLETELY GONE...and this was within a week. So, hopefully you didn't know this already so that I didn't waste my breath (okay, my fingers!)

Fun jewelry!

I hope you feel better soon.

What name did you decide on for your new wheels?

Mali, I knew about the cranberry juice/pills, but I didn't recognize that I had a UTI until too late. I haven't had one since a little kid.

I'm not feeling better either. I took another day off. But now I'm getting worried about accumulating hours again. With these two days I still have 6 days of sick time and 7 days of vacation.

Brunsli, I think her name will be Azzurra Amore. I saw it in a dream when my neighborhood decided to go Crip. Isaac Hayes changed the name of his soul food cafe to Azzurra - nice light blue neon going diagonally across the store front.

Your set is very cute! Perfect for the upcoming summer season! Awww...strep throat in combination with a UTI. Those bacteria (Streptococcus and possibly E. Coli) are having a field day with your body. Time to get them in check (antibiotics)! I hope you feel well soon.

You are not alone.... Today, I found out I have a UTI. Urgh! However, I am going to have my UTI tract check out by the urologist to ensure there is no underlying cause. About two weeks ago, I was treated for cervicitis! I am tired of antibiotics. Arrrggghhh!

There shouldn't be any bacteria left in my body with the Cipro pills and penicillin shot. What does that mean? Yeast infection??? I got the Diflucan ready for it too.

haha :-) Yes, they will keep those bacteria in check. haha :-)
