My mother loves nail polish and when I saw her with black nails, I had to try too. Not on my hands, but my toes. This is a big leap because I stick with lighter colors other than Sation Corvette Red. I usually get French tips, hot pink, corals. Sometimes I would venture beyond the norm and get royal or powder blue or something carnival like this abstract artwork with green tips.
Other than my mom, I've seen only one other non-Gothic woman wearing black nails. As for black polish on toes, I'm sure I'm not alone.

Oh yeah Black is Sexy and looks good on the toes. Always try black as a french tip.
I love nail polish as well, I'm not goth but I love wearing the darker colors that are nearly black it looks sexy to me!
I really don`t wear very dark colors other than reds, pinks, and corals, but I love the bottom artwork. I think I`ll try black tips instead of green.
Anonymous - leave a name! Thank you for stopping by and the lady at the shop was trying her best to get me to do black tips. I was on the phone with my mother and she was stuck on do the whole nail black, be bold! The black is very sexy in strappy black heels.
New2locs, I try to stay away from dark colors since my feet are so pale after the winter. I saw a lady with white tips with a silver line between the white and flesh tone. That was very pretty.
NubianLockdedPrincess, I stay within the same colors you mentioned during the winter. In the summer I like to venture out to odd colors which are normal around my area where people wear bright colors and drive candy and cartoon inspired Chevies.
Black polish is HOT! I love it and most of the time, I'll layer it with some kind of glitter. It's very vampy and perfect for the night life. Toes or tips, it gets my stamp of approval!

My favorite black nail polish is OPI's Midnight in Moscow!! I love wearing black nail color. It makes either your nails or toes get stand out attention!! Go for it!!

I also love the black - and dark colors like midnight blue I usually paint my toes - because I hate when the polish on my nails chip.
