The Take Down

I conditioned, rinsed, applied some grapeseed oil, and air dried. Then I started taking them down with a broach pin. This is good progress. I told guyfriend that I might mess around and not get SLs installed again. My hair loose hair is very strong and does what it wants to do. It's flyaway hair. This type of hair is best enjoyed short or in Sisterlocks.

That's too bad you had to take your hair down. We've been locked the same amount of time (11 months) and it looked like your hair was progressing well, but if you're not happy with it, you're doing the right thing. Looks like your half way there!

BTW. Your new site looks really nice!

It looks like your take down is going really well. Before you know it, it will all be loose. Did you consider using the Knotty Boy take down products?

I checked out your new TT site too and it looks good. I'm going to have to place another order in the near future.

First off, the new Tomoka's Twists website is totally fabulous! I really don't know why I've use the word fabulous sooo many times this week but in this case it totally applies :)

Also, I kind of had a feeling that you would do a take down after reading some of your prior posts about your locks being improperly installed. You've made a lot of progress so far and are that much closer to getting the locks that you want so congrats! I can't wait to see your new lock babies.

LOL ladies. I'm so sorry. I've been using LockItUp as my blog since the Tomoka's Twists take over. I had huge bunching locks right beside micros that wouldn't lock. The parts were all off. The pattern was done in a 4 when a r-4 should have been used. I had only 320 locks. In short everything a SL should be, mine wasn't.

I do not buy anything since I quit my job. Someone mentioned me using Knotty Boy. My hair for the most part hadn't locked, so it's been a fairly easy job. Persistance.

I'm also doing this to help a classmate out. Hopefully I will be her first client and a qualifying client.

Thank you all for stopping by the website. It's been a dream in the making. I'm on http://divasontheprowl.com advertising and an guest story writer. I will also be on http://motowngirl.com

Carmen, when I read on LIU that you were taking your locks down, even though I understand and support you, I felt upset and hurt. Not with you; for you. I was upset because this wouldn't have happened if you had gone to someone who knew what she was doing in the first place. Ten months!!! Jeezam. (Hiss teeth).

Anyway, I shouldn't be ranting on your blog, but second time around better be good, or else... lol.

And I agree with Meikmeika. Girl, I'm sooo proud of you.

good for you carmen. i am looking forward to pictures of hte finished results. ten months is nothing compared to a lifetime/lonterm head of "good hair"!

WOW! You are a good friend to your classmate! I took down 8.7 year-locks and have the pics of my hair on my blog now. I hope to take some more pics this spring!
Good luck with your next hair do.
Take Care~

muslimah, you are right about that. sometimes when i prick my finger, i think all sorts of wrong thoughts. then i have to remind myself that i learn as i live.

queenli, i'll have to stop by your blog. i need a little encouragement right about now to get these last few out.

Although you're takng your locks down I wanted to let you know I have admired your hair and blog. I hope your second round is better than your first ;)

journeii, me too, lol - thank you for the compliment. i'm sick as a dog right now. i have staph on my knee and allergies? i can't take my iron pill with the antibiotics, so i feel weak. i made cubed steak sunday and i don't want that anymore. i do want a steak sub, grilled onions, with mayo and a grape soda. chocolate brownie with chocolate ice cream and almonds, whipped cream, strawberries, soft sugar cookies, salt-n-pepper potato chips, pizza, a slushy, peach cobbler, some lime tortitos with salsa, a whopper, a salad with italian dressing, raisens, and sunflower seeds, spaghetti, lemon pound cake, banana nut muffin, and an iced moca and sweet iced peppermint tea. so you're compliment is much needed.

i did get the steak sub!

I've been caught up in my own stuff, so I haven't been by in a while (although I DO think about you ALL the time!)

I was confused too! Take down? Knee? New Job? I'm like: WHAT???? I haven't been away THAT long, you've just been through a LOT of changes in a very short period of time...like 6 weeks!

I am NEVER EVER on LIU, but you're gonna make me join just so I can catch up on the saga that has been your life!

CarmenNC said...

Yes you've been away too long. No job again, knee is almost healed, and the SLs were started again yesterday.
